Dr. Tobias Stark
I am an assistant professor at department of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences and a researcher at the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations.
My research interests are in the field of ethnic segregation and ethnic/racial prejudice. In particular, I study the development of inter-ethnic relationships within social networks. I am also interested in how prejudices develop and spread within social networks. My current work focuses on four related research areas: (1) how to measure racial/ethnic prejudice, (2) understanding how social networks affect the development of prejudice and vice versa, (3) understanding how prejudice spread through social networks, and (4) developing programs to reduce prejudice among school children.
